This song has been originally sung by Mehdi Hassan and it is one of my favorites of Mehdi Hassan. Ali Zafar did a excellent job paying this tribute to this legendary Ghazal singer. My favorite lines are: meri yaad ho gi jidhar jawonge tum kabhi naghma ban ke ,kabhi ban ke aansoo, kabhi naghma ban ke ,kabhi ban ke aansoo… tarapta mujhe hartaraf pawonge tum shamma jo jalai hai meri wafa ne bujhana bhi chaho,bujha na sakonge mujhe tum nazar se… mujhe tum nazar se gira to rahe ho mujhe tum kabhi bhi bhula na sakonge… .
